Mark supports private and public sector clients by applying geospatial and econometric modelling and big data analytics. He leads Vivid’s work on the physical impacts of climate change.
Prior to joining Vivid, Mark was a PhD student in Economics at the University of Munich. His research made use large spatially explicit datasets and he taught graduate-level courses on data analysis and econometrics. He was a visiting research scholar at Stanford University. Prior to this, Mark worked as a software engineer at a technology start-up.
Mark holds a PhD (summa cum laude) and MSc from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford.
