UK SME exporting trends: finance and trade

Vivid Economics was commissioned by the British Business Bank, UK Export Finance, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Department for International Trade to understand the attitudes, experiences and behaviours of SME exporters towards key aspects of international sales – both opportunities and barriers – and the role that access to finance plays. The findings of our research, based on a survey of 1,200 UK SMEs, and original estimates of UK exports produced by our partners Coriolis Technologies, extensive desk based research and analysis and stakeholder consultations, can be found in this report.
