The economic impact of creating a congestion free, energy independent city
Vivid Economics was engaged by Exeter City Futures to carry out an economic evaluation of the development of business innovation in the energy and transport sectors. This report compromises of establishing a baseline of economic performance in the region as well as assessing the impact of potential adoption of innovation. It then assesses the potential impact of developing business clusters in innovative services and reviews the potential programmes and policies that could provide incentives. The economic assessment included an in-depth look at current employment by detailed sub-sector, and the possible employment impacts of the low carbon transition in energy and transport sectors.
