Scenarios for Scottish and UK Seafood Industries Post EU Exit

This report investigates how trade patterns for the UK fishing and seafood industry may change under alternative arrangements for trade and fishing access rights post EU-Exit. It also quantifies the wider economic impacts on Scotland as well as the rest of the UK. Vivid developed scenarios relating to fishing access, trade arrangements and quantitative partial equilibrium modelling which explored the changes to trade patterns (volumes, flows, value) under different scenarios. We quantified the economic impacts of the scenarios on turnover, GVA and employment using multipliers and used input-output analysis for identifying the sectors of the wider economy most affected.
