Financing Green Growth
The report demonstrates that private sector green finance will only flow at scale when the project economics of investments are sufficient; when there is sufficient access to finance; and when the broader political economy is conducive to green investments.
A stocktake of current challenges and successes in each of these three areas describes the cutting-edge of public policy interventions available to increase private sector green finance.
From this evidence base a set of recommendations is provided, which, if adopted, could increase private sector green investment towards the level required to meet internationally-agreed goals.
The report is an independent piece of research intended for policymakers in governments, the private sector and multilateral organisations, and the views expressed are those of Vivid Economics.
