Onur has been involved in a variety of projects with a special focus on energy economics, quantitative modelling, game theory and competition policy. He worked previously at another leading economic consultancy and was involved in a number of competition matters. He has assisted leading companies in various sectors such as energy, commodities, card payments and airlines. In his Ph.D. thesis, Onur applied cooperative game theory to a quantitative model of the Eurasian natural gas trade and investigated the impact of major pipeline projects on the bargaining power of the players in the network. He has published academic articles and policy papers in the field of energy economics and shared his insights with academia and business.
Onur holds a Ph.D. in Economics and M.Sc. in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University Berlin. Prior to his studies in Germany, he earned two B.Sc. degrees in Management Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
