Ed is a professional economist with seven years’ experience spanning strategic support in developing countries on the ODI Fellowship, research and public policy at the Institute of Fiscal Studies, and consulting at Vivid Economics and previously at NERA Economic Consulting. His international experience includes a long-term assignment supporting the development of Burundi’s national economic strategy, and consultancy work across Southern and West Africa. Ed’s recent project work includes innovative financial instruments for governments and the private sector in Nigeria and Brazil, sustainable energy market design and investment in Botswana, and research into the impacts of climate change on labour productivity for DFID.
Ed holds an MSc in Economics from University College London, and BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol. He works on assignments in English and French.
