Ashley applies econometric tools to understand the role of the environment in economic production systems.

Since joining Vivid, Ashley has focused on using spatial econometric tools, which have been applied to natural accounting frameworks and remote sensing data in the UK and abroad.

Ashley holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in Environmental Economics. His research focused on analysing climatic and technological constraints to agricultural productivity to understand challenges to food security. He also holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the LSE and a BA in Economics from the University of Exeter.
